Description

Through a survey conducted in parallel in Germany and France, the Franco-German project proposes a first inventory of open access to theses and dissertations.

To achieve this first step, a sample of sixty academic libraries and graduate schools will be surveyed in France and Germany.

The final goal is to extend the research project in several European countries and develop recommendations for best practices and infrastructures for the open access to electronic theses.

The project is co-funded by the GERiiCO laboratory, Lille 3 International Relations, Lille-Métropole Urban Community (BQR) and the MESHS (emerging projects). The length of this first phase is twelve months (July 2013-June 2014).
